Best in Class Advocacy

As a leader who has worked tirelessly advocating for consumers and REALTORS®, I strongly believe in a multifaceted approach to problem-solving that helps both parties achieve their goals. I am known for navigating difficult conversations with national leaders, which has helped me build a proven track record of success.

When I was the Local President, homeowners were seeing their taxes doubling and tripling. People had to sell their homes because they couldn’t afford to live there anymore. Our advocacy organization successfully navigated the legislative process to move forward portability, where property taxes could only go up by 3% a year so that people weren’t priced out of their homes. That wasn’t a popular decision for everyone. Many were concerned about the lower taxes hurting the police department and the parks. And, yes, we must take care of our communities, our police departments and our parks. I understood their position, but I also understood that there were ways to do both — support our communities without displacing the members in that community. Instead of rising to the negativity, I successfully navigated that negativity in a way that moved us toward our goal, which ended up benefiting everyone. Collaboration is vital to good advocacy positions and achievements.

“Sometimes it’s easy to mistake people who are kind for people who are not tough, but Christine is both. Advocating for her brokerage in Florida, advocating previously for the members of Florida Realtors® and all the work she’s done at NAR, she is fierce.”
